Autumn Term

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Healthy Schools team visited Year 6 this term and delivered a two-hour interactive Stop Smoking and Vaping Workshop, focused on discouraging smoking and vaping behaviour.
To celebrate our Harvest week, Hamilton class took inspiration from the amazing landscape right outside our windows. We created beautiful Fenland Landscape paintings using watercolour paints, choosing vibrant pinks, purples and oranges to emulate the fantastic sunrise and sunsets.
Our art lessons are focusing on drawing this term. At present we are developing our observational drawing skills. We started by drawing five different sketches, using different mediums, of fruit before zooming in and creating a larger, more detailed piece.

It has been a busy start to the year for Hamilton Class, with a three day residential trip to Hilltop Outdoor Centre during the second week! This trip provided the pupils with a fantastic opportunity to challenge themselves and develop their team skills. It was amazing to see their confidence grow over a short time and see them supporting and encouraging each other in a completely new (and in some cases daunting) environment.
