Summer Term

Welcome to Summer 1. A short half-term, but we still managed to fit in lots of amazing active learning!

We learnt about important people that have visited space, undertook some fun science experiments to understand animal classification and evolution, and had some incredible experiences such as a visit from the WonderDome, and another visit to the local church to talk about Baptism.

This half term, Panda class have been working on non-chronological reports on birds. To consolidate our learning, we worked collaboratively in pairs to make some bird-feeders for some lovely birds we found in our trees on the field.

Our art block for this half-term has been printing.

Science experiments- why do birds have different sized beaks and feet?

Welcome to Summer2. A term of DT projects, computing, and exciting outside learning opportunities that make the most of the beautiful weather that we've had.

An incredible DT day of making puppets based on a character from The Little Red Riding Hood. We chose our fabric, cut our stencils, joined them using glue, and chose our decorations. A completely independent project with amazing results.

Some wonderful outdoor learning opportunities in Science has included data collection like measuring the girth of trees, and using hoops to take samples of wild flowers on the school grounds.

Wild art.
