We value each and every child in our school regardless of their sex, race, ability or background.
We aim to ensure that all have access to the National Curriculum and equal access to the resources and opportunities available at Thomas Eaton. We have clear identification and assessment procedures that enable us to identify pupils with special needs. For these pupils we develop individual programmes, monitor progress and receive help and advice from supporting agencies. Parents are informed termly of their child’s progress and are encouraged to be active participants in the process.
We aim to prevent disabled pupils in our school being placed at a substantial disadvantage. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that people with a disability are not treated differently without lawful justification. We will make reasonable adjustments for disabled pupils and we will know we have succeeded when disabled pupils are participating fully in school life.
