On Thursday 5th July, Ennis had a marvellous day at the seaside

The weather was perfect - warm and sunny for our visit to Searles Holiday camp in Hunstanton. We looked around a caravan, met Leo the Lion, ate delicious ice creams; we took a ride on the train to the lighthouse and we made some fantastic sand sculptures on the beach.

Thank you to all the parents who came in last week to make models of Victorian bathing machines, Punch and Judy shows or even Hokey Pokey carts.

The children in Ennis (Year 2) have been learning about Sikhism. 

This week, we have learnt how special Guru Nanak was and we have shared some of his teachings.

This week, in Ennis, we have been learning about the seaside in the Victorian days. The children have been finding out about ice creams (hokey pokeys), bathing machines and Punch and Judy  shows.

W/b 11th June, Year 1 and some Year 2 children will have their Phonics Check. Please keep encouraging your child to use their ‘soundtalk’ as they are reading and go over some of the sounds and words that we have sent home in previous terms. Your child’s scores, if they sit the test, will be reported to you at the end of this school year. Thank you

In Ennis, we are weighing.

We have used balance scales - some of us are weighing with non standard units (like cubes) and some of us are weighing with standard units (kg and g).
