School Closure Home Learning

Hi all,

I know it is a difficult time for us all. There is no pressure to complete learning everyday with your children. I can offer some helpful ideas for play that incorporates the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum for development. The links to the information I sent out are attached.

Some ideas for you to use while at home can include:

-Singing lots of nursery rhymes and sing silly rhymes with each other.

-Get creative, have lots of fun together making mess and exploring your senses.

-Share lots of stories, explore books and the pictures, use key vocabulary and create your own version of the story using the pictures, let your child lead the story.

-Focus on the magic number of the week stating at one. How many objects can you find, counting two stairs two biscuits, two buttons, find the number 2 in print.

-You tube: If animals danced by Bounce patrol is a song we have been dancing too all term also jack Hartman’s penguin song and Alice the camel.

-cbeebies/grown ups has a lot of useful information for parents.

During our time away from school phonics play are offering free access to its website. If you log in you can play some phase one games with your child.
