2017-18 Peacock

What we've been doing in Peacock:

Letters home:

Role Play - Welcome to the Veterinary Clinic

This term we based our role play area on the theme ‘People who help us.’

We discussed the role of a vet and how some animals feel afraid in the lead up to Bonfire Night.

We are having great fun acting in role. We also set up our own Paw Patrol pet shop whilst learning about different values of coins.

Peacock’s displays!

Please feel free to come into school one day, after, to take a look at our display boards.

The displays are all based on our topic ‘All about me.’

The Elmer displays celebrates people being special and unique. We say I’m glad to be me!

Rainbow fish- We may all be different but we swim together! We have based this display on being proud to be part of Thomas Eaton Academy.

This is me in September is based on how children see themselves. Each child painted their own picture. We will again do this in July and observe how the children’s art skills have improved.

Autumn Fun!

We have been having lots of fun learning about Guy Fawkes and exploring Autumn.

Some of the activities we did were:

  • Pumpkin carving

  • Transient Art- making firework pictures using creative materials.

  • Writing firework sounds in our dark writing cave! (we even used torches to shine light on the words)

  • Looking for changes on our Autumn walk.

Peacock class are now full time and have settled in well. They are becoming more independent as the weeks progress. Take a look at the photo gallery below to see what they have been learning.
